How to choose the type of wood?
We work with oak, ash, larch, pine, beech, birch, spruce as well as other wood species. We have experience with solid cherry, maple, linden, Canadian cedar, iroko, teak. We use only high quality selected extra-class and 1st grade wood, without chips, cracks, knots and other defects.
On the totality of the strength, durability, aesthetic indicators scale of priority of species, in terms of professionals, is as follows (starting from the best indicators):

All wood undergoes multistage technological processing for the purpose of increasing natural durability parameters and improving esthetic qualities. From natural solid wood we produce furniture boards, which have reliable performance: strength, dimensional and shape stability, resistance to warping, to cracking. Therefore, for the customer the criterion for wood species selection is:
personal aesthetic taste;
matching the texture of the wood to the style and design of the furniture present in the room;
strength and durability of products.
Thanks to professional workmanship, solid wood's strength and performance are maximally stabilized. However, on the durability of the use of products, the selected species still has an impact.
When choosing a species of wood, the customer should be guided by their taste preferences, evaluating the furniture boards made of solid wood of different species.
Description and characteristics of furniture boards
Furniture shield is made from bars of wood (lamellae), firmly glued together to form a single panel of rectangular shape. Depending on the technology of gluing (joining) distinguish spliced and all-lamellar design.
Spliced furniture boards
It is a wood panel formed of glued to the width and spliced to the length of the lamellae - identical wooden bars. The length of the lamellae are spliced to a mini-splice. In width they are glued on a smooth fugue. The method is reliable and is used in the manufacture of standard products in 100% of cases.
Compared to all-lamellar designs, spliced boards are considered more reliable because the fiber tension in neighboring bars is uniform and, accordingly, the entire structure is more stable and durable.
All-lamellar furniture boards
This is a wood board formed from lamellas glued only along the width. The method of gluing is on a smooth fugue. The width of the slats is 40-45 or 25-30 mm. The thickness varies from 10 to 150 mm.
Compared with spliced models, all-lamellar structures have a more uniform texture and color range, as consist of a smaller number of lamellae.
The choice of wood species by furniture boards
Oak Shielding
Extremely strong material from nature with a beautiful homogeneous texture, maintains stability of form and size with temperature changes and changes in the level of humidity. When painted it acquires a noble and uniform shade. It does not warp, is durable, retains its aesthetic qualities for decades. Practiced in the production of furniture and all types of interior finishes: window sills, countertops, bar counters, stairs, wall and ceiling panels.
Our recommendations:
Investing in oak interior furnishings is economically justified because you get products that last a century, plus the aesthetic pleasure of the gorgeous texture. An unbeatable material for classic style interiors. To save money, opt for spliced oak boards. If aesthetics is a priority, we recommend all-lamellar designs.
Shields made of ash.
It is distinguished by picturesque texture of mainly light colors. In terms of durability ash is not inferior to oak. Due to the high density of fibers, the wood is very hard, so it is hard to cut ash. However, the products turn out to be practical and decoratively attractive. When tinted, the solid acquires a brighter and more pronounced texture with an impressive mottled pattern. Just like oak, ash is suitable for the production of all kinds of interior products. Because of the complexity of processing, high strength and aesthetic performance is almost as good as oak in price.
Our recommendations:
Ash, like oak, is devoid of disadvantages. Furniture boards made of ash are solid, dense, uniformly stained, and do not warp during operation. If in the interior instead of the classic style you prefer to finish with a non-trivial, bold wood pattern, do not hesitate to choose ash board. To save money, we recommend the split version. The price of the jointed board will cost approximately the same as solid beech or larch, but the strength, durability and beauty of the jointed ash is far superior to beech or larch.
